The CDC has prepared a self-assessment tool to help you determine if you need to seek further care, stay at home, etc.
Visit the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html and click on “Coronavirus Self-Checker.”
As COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the US and our region, we wanted to make you aware of changes we have implemented at our practice to help keep our patients and staff healthy.
Update From Our Office
Every morning each staff member is screened for fever and respiratory symptoms. If any staff member has any of these symptoms we are tested for COVID-19 and sent home for self quarantine until the test comes back negative.
All of our patients are screened for possible coronavirus infection and other urgent illnesses PRIOR to going in-person to our medical facility.
- Patients are welcomed to sit in their car for the entire check in process to keep them safe and practice social distancing.
- Social distancing is practiced in the lobby. Only one person will be allowed in the clinic unless that person is a minor accompanied by one parent or an elderly person with one family member.
- We sanitize every surface touched by each patient diligently.
- We highly suggest you book an appointment on-line and have your consent forms and COVID-19 screening done on-line.
- Hand sanitizer is offered in the lobby for those needing to fill out paper forms.
Please do not enter our facilities if you are experiencing possible COVID-19/CoronaVirus symptoms (including cough, fever, or shortness of breath) or if you have been in contact with someone suspected or known to have COVID-19. Stay in your car and call (956) 606-3589 to schedule a Telehealth Consult.
For those patients needing non-urgent medical care Telehealth is your best option to receive the medical care you need while practicing social distancing. Please call 965-523-0966 to schedule a Telehealth Consult. You can also book an appointment online by clicking here. There is no additional cost for a Telehealth Consult outside of your normal co-pay.
Our medical staff at DOC-AID are equipped and able to provide the COVID-19 test, however at this time you cannot request COVID-19 testing. The decision to test is at the provider’s discretion after consulting with the supervising physician and local health department. Rest assured we are following CDC guidelines to ensure you are treated appropriately.
